Lutz John, conceptual an lighting designer lives in Hannover
After graduating, Lutz John worked as a freelance lighting and stage designer. He stages shows for numerous German and international bands. He also devotes himself increasingly to space. For the EXPO 2000 in Hanover, for example, he is responsible for the lighting design of the „Basic Needs“ theme park. From 2002 to 2008, he taught as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover in the courses of study Media Interior Design/Scenography and Interior Design. After 2004, important productions with Einstürzende Neubauten follow. In 2005 he designed the stage and lighting for Blixa Bargeld’s production „waiting of the barbarien“ at the Salzburg Festival. With the beginning of the new millennium Lutz John increasingly realizes his own projects. Light projections in public spaces show his turn towards the staging of space.
